Haydi şindi and explain the word “alani.” It means: street dude, night crawler, partier, good-for-nothing, ruffian, good ole boy — kind of all at once. Kind of creepy because it’s not the first time I’ve been called this — just not anonymously on a wall of a Jiannena supermarket.
