“…the mass upheavals still to come.” is most terrifying. As someone with a deep and long-standing interest in both Russia/Eastern Europe and South Asia, I always wondered where obscene Indo-Pako-Afghan oligarchy would go, but I never made the connection with pre-Revolutionary Russia.
